Our Havanese
Our havanese are kept in our home and are a part of our family. They are not kenneled and can run freely throughout the house and outdoors in our fenced yard. We purchased all of our havanese through reputable breeders. This is very important. If you are considering a havanese to add to your family, you should be aware of puppymills and the inherent health issues of the breed. Our havanese are from champion lines and are currently working toward, or have finished, their champion-ships. Havanese Health
For any of you that have had health issues with a pet, you know how important this is. Choose a breeder that has a health guarantee. If possible see what kind of environment they come from.
I have seen a puppymill first hand. The only thing the breeder was concerned with was finan-cial gain. The puppies were in trailers and makeshift kennels without air-conditioning or any human contact except during feeding time. All of the puppies were in dirty and cramped conditions, with nowhere to run or play. The females were bred repeatedly and the flies, fleas, and insects were everywhere. We should all do our part to put these places out of business. A happy, healthy puppy is worth the wait!
